Position Overview
The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of CENEC's initiatives in Kenya, ensuring that projects are delivered effectively and in line with organizational objectives. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project management capabilities to support sustainable community impact and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the design, implementation, and monitoring of programs and projects across Kenya to ensure successful delivery of planned outcomes.
Establish and maintain productive partnerships with community-based organizations, civil society groups, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
Oversee project reporting processes, track performance indicators, and manage monitoring and evaluation data to support accountability and informed decision-making.
Serve as the organization's representative in meetings, forums, and engagements with partners, donors, government institutions, and community stakeholders.
Contribute to resource mobilization efforts by supporting proposal writing, donor engagement, and fundraising initiatives.
Ensure all program activities are implemented in accordance with CENEC's vision, values, safeguarding standards, and organizational policies.
Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and recommend solutions to improve program effectiveness and impact.
Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among project teams and partner organizations.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Public Health, Environmental Science, Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Previous experience managing or coordinating development programs within the non-governmental organization (NGO) sector.
Strong skills in project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder management.
Experience working in areas such as Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), environmental conservation, community development, or related sectors will be an added advantage.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and adapt effectively to changing priorities and environments.
Must be based in Kenya and possess a strong understanding of local development contexts.
