About the Role

We are looking for a professional, friendly, and service-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in hospitality or food and beverage service and be committed to creating a positive dining experience for every guest.

You Need

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

1. A Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Service.

2. At least 2 years of experience working in a reputable restaurant or a 4/5-star hotel.

3. Strong communication and customer service skills.

4. A positive attitude and professional approach to work.

5. Good attention to detail when serving guests and carrying out daily duties.

6. The ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.

7. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Previous experience in a professional hospitality environment will help the successful candidate understand the importance of quality service, teamwork, cleanliness, and attention to guests' needs.

You Will

As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for providing attentive and professional service to guests throughout their dining experience.

Your duties will include:

1. Welcoming Guests

Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner and help create a positive first impression.

You will be expected to interact with guests courteously and ensure they feel comfortable and well attended to from the moment they arrive.

2. Taking and Serving Orders

Take guest orders accurately and promptly, ensuring that requests are clearly communicated and correctly understood.

You will also serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining a professional and attentive approach throughout the service.

Accuracy is important in this role, as you will need to ensure that guests receive the correct orders and that their requests are handled properly.

3. Recommending Menu Items

Recommend menu items to guests with confidence.

You should be familiar with the available menu and be comfortable assisting guests when they require guidance or recommendations.

Your communication skills and knowledge of the menu will help guests make informed choices and enjoy their dining experience.

4. Maintaining Dining Areas

Maintain clean, organised, and well-presented dining areas.

You will be expected to pay attention to the appearance of the service area and ensure that it remains presentable throughout the shift.

A clean and welcoming dining environment is an important part of delivering quality service.

5. Working With Kitchen and Bar Teams

Coordinate effectively with the Kitchen and Bar teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Good teamwork and communication will be essential, particularly during busy periods when several guest requests and orders need to be handled at the same time.

You should be able to communicate clearly with colleagues and work together to ensure that guests receive timely and professional service.

6. Handling Guest Requests and Concerns

Handle guest requests and concerns professionally.

You should remain polite, calm, and helpful when responding to guest questions or concerns. The ability to listen carefully and respond appropriately is important for maintaining a positive customer experience.

7. Following Service and Safety Standards

Follow food safety, hygiene, and service standards at all times.

You will be expected to maintain the required standards when handling food and beverages and when interacting with guests.

Attention to hygiene and cleanliness should be part of your daily approach to work.
